In the third month the embryo becomes fetus. The long tail of the embryo will disappear and it will start turning out to be in human shape. In the beginning of the third month the embryo will be one and half centimeters length and one gram weight. By the end of third month, it will become seven and half centimeters length and 14-15 grams fetus.
The eyes and nose of the fetus will be in the right place by this time. The main organ of the fetus will be head. The hands and legs will be developed by that time; they will be able to move them. Even though the intestine will be only starting to develop, digestion process will be set by then.
The fetus survives on the amniotic fluid. This is subject to digestion and excretes as urine. The fetus drinks, lives and urinates the same fluid. The pregnant woman’s internal organs work and clean this fluid every now and then. By the end of third month, the fetus develops the nervous and digestive systems. The fetus’s chest will be functioning the up and down procedure even though it does not start to breathe. The heart begins to beat fast.
Till the third month a small shock or shake can separate the embryo, placenta from the uterus walls for the abortion to occur. By completing the third month that tension can be avoided.
