In the first 2-3 months of pregnancy there will be no much change in the weight since the growth of the child will be in a slow progress. After the third month the weight of the carrier woman will be increasing from 200gms to 400gms every week. The expected date of delivery is calculated by taking the first day of the last periods. The expected date of delivery will be after 40 weeks from the first day of last periods. The calculation will be by adding 9 months and 7 days to the date of first day of last periods.
Suppose the first day of last periods was December 15th, then by adding 9 months, the date will be September 15th. Add 7 days to that, and then the date of delivery expected will fall on 22nd of September.
Pregnancy determination
by Women Quotes on Dec.23, 2008, under Pregnancy determination
There is a myth that a woman is pregnant when she vomits early in the morning. But usually the vomiting and morning sickness starts after two months of pregnancy. The very first symptom can be the irregularity of normal menstrual periods. Those women having normal periods can identify pregnancy than that of others with irregular periods.
If the normal period does not start on the due date then you can confirm the pregnancy with in 8-10 days of the due period date by doing the H.C.G test. Even though you have confirmed pregnancy yourself, it is better to consult a gynecologist without any delay and make sure that the expecting mother and baby are in health.
